Cool things I experienced along the way:
This was a unique trail! Only 5 miles long and it ends at a pavilion that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico!!! What a nice treat!
I didn't see any wildlife on the way out, so on my return, I was very surprised to come upon 2 deer right by the trail -- and at noon, no less!
There were many paths that led off the trail, so fishermen could have access to some great fishing!
It's a nice winding path, but felt very arid at times, which was surprising since we were so close to the Gulf.
Woke to a beautiful morning...

Gooood morning!
Time to break camp and head for the trails! I have 3 of them to do today!

Entrance to trailhead. The bridge on the left goes over the canal from the Gulf of Mexico inland.
