Cool things I experienced along the way:
Another unique trail that is part of the Cross Florida Greenway. This is my shortest trail to date. It's listed as 5 miles -- 10 miles round trip usually, but since there are a couple of loops instead of a linear path, the total ride was only 7.1 miles. There were many curves in this trail and fun, short 'hills'. That's why the average speed is slow compared to the top speed (going downhill).
It was so hot and dry that afternoon, I felt like I was in Arizona. This trail is relatively new and there were a lot of new pine tree saplings. It will be great once all these trees mature and there is more shade on these loops and trails.

Obligatory power lines at the beginning of the trail!

All the small posts are dedication signs for trees. You can sponsor a tree!

First fork in the road

More tree dedications

Lots of cut-offs leading to trailheads. Seems you can get to this trail from most anywhere in a five mile radius.

Oh my! I'm going to be going around in circles!!!
Quite a change from the rest of the trails. This is NOT a Rail To Trail

Turtles must like this trail too!

Lots of curves in the trail

Baby trees and sand/ant hills

Another turtle by a trailhead

Oops! Ran out of trail

Pretty trees

Parking area for another trailhead

Area 8

Area 9

An unpaved trail

Area 10

Oops... ran outta trail again...

This home has easy access to the trail

Yet another trailhead

Area 9 on the return

Area 7 - Pelican Pass

Watch out Mr. Turtle!

Road right past him and he didn't even 'clam up'!

This trail has spent the most money on signage!!!

More forks than spoons!

Oh, if only they could provide some shade right about now...

Area 1

Average speed 12.5 -- 21.1 Maximum speed
Well... check this one off the list. Pack up the bike and head for Lake Minneola!
